Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Konkan Technologies Private Limited (brand name KonkanTech, 'we', 'us'), Mhasla, Raigad, Maharashtra, India, handles personal data when you use https://www.konkantechnologies.in, contact us, enrol in a course or buy our services.

1. Data we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver what you ask for:

  • Enquiry and contact forms: name, email, phone number, subject and message.
  • Course enrolment: name, contact details, the course chosen and details needed to run your classes.
  • WhatsApp, calls and email: your number or address and the content of your messages and calls with us.
  • Payments: payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive confirmation of payment, amount and payer name or contact details. We do not see or store your card, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials.
  • Website use: technical data such as device, browser, pages viewed and approximate location, collected through cookies and analytics.
  • Chat assistant: messages you type into the website chat are sent to Google's Gemini AI service to generate a reply. Please do not type sensitive personal details (such as payment or health information) into the chat.

2. Why we use your data

  • To answer enquiries and follow up on requests.
  • To enrol you in courses, run classes and share class links and updates.
  • To provide services you buy, raise invoices and confirm payments.
  • To keep the website secure and understand how it is used so we can improve it.
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations.

3. Google, Meta and Microsoft integrations

We connect our own business accounts on Google, Meta (Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp) and Microsoft (Microsoft Teams, where classes are held) to run KonkanTech's own business. These connections are not offered to the public as a login method on this website.

Google user data we access. Our internal tools sign in with KonkanTech's own Google accounts and use:

  • YouTube API Services (YouTube Data API): our channel's videos and the comments on them (comment text, the commenter's public channel name and picture), so that we can read, reply to and moderate comments on our own channel.
  • Google Business Profile APIs: our business profile, its reviews (reviewer's public name and review text) and performance figures (calls, website clicks, direction requests), so that we can reply to reviews, keep our business information up to date and prepare internal reports.

We use this data only for these purposes. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. We share it only with the service providers that run our tools, as described in "Sharing your data". It is kept in our own accounts with access limited to our team, and we keep it only as long as needed for the purpose; YouTube data we store is deleted or refreshed within 30 days, as YouTube's policies require.

By using YouTube features through us you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke our tools' access to a Google account at any time on the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. To ask us to delete Google data we hold, write to the Grievance Officer below.

Google API Services User Data Policy. KonkanTech's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide or improve the features of our tools described above. We transfer it to others only as needed to provide or improve those features, to comply with applicable law, for security purposes, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets after obtaining your explicit prior consent. We do not use or transfer it for advertising, we do not sell it to anyone (including advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers), and we do not use it to decide creditworthiness or for lending. Our team reads the data only where you have agreed (for example, the comments and reviews we reply to on our own channel and profile), where it is needed for security or to comply with law, or when it is aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.

4. Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages are useful. Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect usage data in aggregate form. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on; the site will still work.

5. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, under their own terms and only as needed:

  • Razorpay (payment processing).
  • Google (Analytics; Google Sheets and Gmail, which we use to record and answer enquiries; and Gemini, the AI service behind our website chat).
  • Meta (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram) and Microsoft (Teams) for communication and classes.
  • Our website host (Vercel) and professional advisers such as accountants.

Some of these providers store or process data outside India. We use providers that protect data under their own terms, and we do not transfer data to any country the Government of India restricts.

We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect our rights.

6. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above, including to provide course or service support and to meet accounting and legal requirements. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your data earlier (see Your rights).

7. Security

We use reasonable safeguards such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to team members who need the data, and reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects you, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.

8. Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

We respect the rights given by India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules. You can ask us to:

  • Give you a summary of the personal data we hold about you, how we use it, and who we have shared it with.
  • Correct, complete or update your data.
  • Erase your data, unless we must keep it to provide what you asked for or to meet a legal requirement.
  • Withdraw consent you gave us (this does not affect what we did before you withdrew).
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to.
  • Seek redressal of grievances, first from us, and then from the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, write to the Grievance Officer below.

9. Children

Some of our courses are suitable for school students. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or legal guardian to contact us and enrol you. We do not knowingly use a child's personal data for targeted advertising or behavioural profiling. If we learn that we hold a child's data without a parent's or guardian's consent, we will ask a parent or guardian to confirm, or delete the data. A parent or guardian can ask us to access, correct or delete a child's data at any time.
